Enhanced features for iPHone users and the iPhone SDK for iPhone OS 3.0 beta for developers
We’re excited about the new features in iPhone OS 3.0. Enhancements to the OS like cut, copy, and paste. New tools for searching your iPhone. MMS for sending photos and audio files along with text messages. Along with the new OS, we’re very excited about the new APIs in the SDK that will allow us to enhance our applications too.
We will be able to:- Send email messages from within our applications without closing the application.
- Share data between two iPhones via Bluetooth, No WiFi network required.
- Send push notifications to users of our applications.
- Embed maps in applications.
- Record audio and more.
Of course we’ll also be able to include cut, copy, paste, and undo in our applications.
Sadly, one of the things we’re hoping for is access to iCal. So far, I don’t it, but with over 1000 enhancements, it is possible that it is there and I haven’t seen it yet.
We’ve started working with the new SDK and OS to improve our apps, and we’ll be ready for the release some time this summer. Read more about iPhone OS 3.0.
